Damp Under Floorboards Smell

Concrete flooring can sometimes accumulate a damp smell.
Damp under floorboards smell. Often found in basements and garages the unpleasant floor smell can emit throughout the entire house. Now i want to move my son from our room in to his own room and from cot to a bed but i just couldnt possible put him in there with that smell. For example old magazines or cardboard seems to attract the mildew smell and helps it linger. It is also an indicator that the area is damp and has been lacking proper aeration for a long time.

I just cant think what it could be i would look in the yellow pages for someone to come. Inspect any area in the home which smells damp and eliminate all sources. An accumulation of dust under the floorboards can be the source of a musty smell. Once you have removed all such things from an area half the battle is won.
We know there seems to be a lot of old plaster under the boards would getting the boards up and removing all the rubble reduce the smell. It s not surprising a build up will start to smell over the years especially when bacteria get to work on it.
